I have a very long history with the producers club! In 2011 I started my own acting classes and I rented there. The owner, Freddie, has always been a pleasure. As I was working a piece there tonight as a director, I thought, "hmmm...maybe I should come home." (tear drop) The space is so artistic friendly. I don't really love when other's sound bleeds through the walls, nevertheless mission accomplished! I Love my assignment

Six on Broadway

star 4.3

Times Square, Manhattan · 303 reviews

SIX is a fun, modern, and high-energy musical that feels more like a pop concert than a classic Broadway show. From the first minute, it grabs your attention with catchy songs, powerful vocals, and nonstop energy. Each queen tells her story in her own musical style, which keeps the show dynamic and engaging throughout. The performances are strong and confident, the choreography is sharp, and the costumes are bold and eye-catching. Despite its relatively short length, the show feels complete and leaves a lasting impression. SIX is entertaining, empowering, and easy to enjoy -- a great choice if you're looking for something fresh, upbeat, and different from traditional Broadway musicals.

ShapeShifter Lab is more than a live music venue - it's a gathering place for the community and a generous supporter of the arts. They have allowed our daughter's small music school have their recitals there for a couple years now and they are wonderful. It's exciting for the kids to be "on stage" and the space is big enough for all the doting parents. It's casual, inviting, friendly.

We had an unforgettable birthday celebration at this incredible restaurant! The lively and humorous staff made the event even more fun. The dishes were absolutely fantastic, each featuring stunning and entertaining 3D presentations that wowed everyone. As the night drew to a close, all the guests sang the happy birthday song to two birthday girls, creating a joyful atmosphere. It was definitely a perfect choice for a lively and memorable night! After savoring the amazing food and show, we took the elevator up to the hotel rooftop to soak in the breathtaking view.

I went to Hudson Guild Theater because my flatmate was performing there. It was her debut on stage in New York so I went there to encourage her. The thearer was very small. It could accommodate 50-60 people at most. But, the chairs were comfortable and the lighting was good. I enjoyed watching the show. I might come here again if given an opportunity.

Tiny space but one that has copious amounts of history and tradition. Very unique theater among NYC stages as it started and lived for 50 years as labor of love. They've supported small and upcoming acts that whole time. I wish them continued success. The founder Jim has such warm and pleasant personality.

This event was a blast! I laughed as much if not more than my kids. I have seen a few different groups doing improve in the city and this is by far my favorite. I really like that their cast is so eclectic and diverse with such a funny group of unique players. Plus they were very good at making the comedy work for both kids and throwing in jokes for adults.

This playhouse shows small, intimate productions that might not get attention in a bigger house. This doesn't mean their not as good, just newer and with names you probably won't recognize. However, for the cost of one ticket in a Broadway house, you could bring a family.

SoHo, Manhattan · 5,647 reviews

The music was absolutely fantastic -- truly top quality. If I were rating only the performance, it would easily be 5 stars. The musicians were incredible, and that's honestly the only reason I'm giving 3 stars instead of less. Unfortunately, the overall experience didn't match the level of the music. After paying $77 per ticket, we were seated extremely close to strangers -- it was so crowded that it was hard to even breathe comfortably. There was barely any space to move. On top of that, there is a $20 per person minimum spend, which would be fine if the drinks were good -- but the cocktails were very disappointing. The margaritas were honestly some of the worst we've had. I understand this is a popular venue and tickets will always sell, but a little more consideration for guests would make a big difference. Selling slightly fewer tickets or adding extra show dates with the same bands could create a much more enjoyable atmosphere. Live music should feel special and comfortable, not overcrowded. Again, the music was amazing -- I just wish the overall experience matched the talent on stage.

Webster Hall

Webster Hall

star 4.2

East Village, Manhattan · 3,148 reviews

The most unwelcome venue I've visited. When you arrive at Webster Hall you are asked to show ID. Naturally, I assumed this was simply to gain entry. I presented my UK driving licence, which was rejected as invalid ID. Apparently only a passport would do, something I haven't had to present for age verification since the UK introduced photo licences decades ago. I was then told I would not be allowed to buy alcohol. Fair enough, their rules. But then my hands were physically taken and black crosses were marked on the backs of them. I'm still not entirely sure why because people who passed the ID test were given wristbands. Surely no wristband already solves the problem. I asked to speak to a manager because the whole experience felt unnecessarily hostile and frankly quite humiliating. I was told it was "New York State policy". That simply isn't true. You are expected to present valid ID, but apparently the definition of "valid" ends at US borders. The irony is I'm 56 and had absolutely no intention of buying an overpriced weak drink in the first place. The venue itself is beautiful and the concert was excellent, but the experience is badly let down by poor communication, made up explanations and a severe lack of common sense. If you're visiting Webster Hall from outside the US and want a drink, bring your passport and leave your common sense at home.

Hammerstein Ballroom at Manhattan Center

star 4.2

Chelsea, Manhattan · 1,265 reviews

Hammerstein Ballroom is one of those classic NYC venues that really delivers when it comes to live events. Located inside the Manhattan Center, it has that historic, almost grand feel to it, while still being set up well for modern concerts and performances. The first thing that stands out is the interior. The space is huge, with high ceilings, ornate detailing, and multiple levels, including a balcony that gives a great view of the stage. It feels a lot more elevated compared to your typical concert venue, and depending on where you're standing or seated, you can get some really solid sightlines. We went for the Creepy Nuts concert here, and overall the experience was smooth. Entry was fairly organized, and once inside, the flow of the venue made it easy to move around, grab drinks, or find your spot. It can get pretty packed on the main floor, especially for popular shows, but that's kind of expected. The balcony areas felt a bit more relaxed if you're not trying to be right in the crowd. Sound quality was solid for a venue of this size, loud and immersive without feeling completely blown out. Lighting and production also added a lot to the overall atmosphere, especially with how open the space is. One thing to note is that drinks and concessions are definitely on the pricier side, which is pretty typical for NYC venues. Lines can also build up during peak moments, so it's worth planning around that. Overall, Hammerstein Ballroom is a great venue for concerts and live events. Between the historic feel, good sightlines, and strong atmosphere, it's a place that makes shows feel a bit more special than your average venue.

My three star rating goes mostly to the venue / Bar. A cool industrial decor with exposed brick and pipes with Edison light bulbs. I pad menu which I found it impressive. Two drink minimal order. Friendly staff. The show was good I have to say. They are the sister twin of Tribeca comedy club and most comedians were the same. There were still good talents but the headliner at the end Adam Strauss was giving a life story speech, not much jokes and I sat till the end to see where it's going. He should work well on his material. Didn't like it. Not going to this place (for comedy) but the bar is cool

Purchased two tickets on Feb 4 through a third party service for the Wednesday Feb 12 Matinee of Cabaret. 30 minutes later, Jujamcyn sent an email saying Adam Lambert would not be performing. In an effort to get a refund and attend a show that he would be performing in, I sent an email immediately after. I did not receive a response so I called. Then I sent a message on Facebook. I received a response on Feb 10 at 5:30pm saying that they had made a mistake and that he would be performing in that show. I had already received a refund on the tickets through Plum Benefits (no problems there) and can no longer go on that date because of work. This was incredibly mishandled and I'm upset at both the nonchalant way they said that they were sorry for the confusion with no offer to fix the problem. I emailed back asking for tickets for Sunday, Feb 16. I doubt they'll get back to me in time since it took 6 days the first time around.

I think this is a fun place. The music is good. The vibes are nice. Lots of couples, girl groups, and a few families with older kids. You do need to make a reservation in advance but they are not likely to seat you until maybe 15 min. after your reservation so you won't have a lot of time to talk before but you also need to pay quickly because there are multiple seatings so you can't linger. I thought the cocktails were generally good. They have a number of non-alcoholic options. The fries were delicious and shareable. A friend ordered a Negroni that tasted oddly like an old fashioned and another friend ordered a wine they're familiar with that just tasted like it had been open for too long. The music was good but you can't see the performers very well if you're on the left side of the room so try and get there early if that's important to you. Remember you can't talk while the performers are playing.

This place is a hidden gem. Greenwich Village Comedy Club has that classic downtown New York comedy feel -- intimate room, low ceilings, and comics close enough that you can see them sweat. That's how comedy is supposed to be. The shows I've been to have been consistently strong. Great variety in the lineups, solid hosting, and the kind of laughs where your face hurts the next day. The location is perfect for a date night or a night out with friends -- plenty of good restaurants nearby to make a whole evening of it. Honestly surprised this place doesn't get more buzz because the quality of comedy here rivals clubs charging twice the price. If you want to feel like you discovered something special, go.

Spoil your inner child with some Magic! My husband and I attended the Broadway Magic Hour show expecting to enjoy a fun hour, but we left with something more: a reminder of what it feels like to be genuinely amazed. The audience was filled with children, and their excitement was contagious. Surrounded by so much wonder and anticipation, we found ourselves caught up in the magic right alongside them. Carl and Jim are both warm, funny, and incredibly engaging. Their chemistry is effortless, and the way they play off each other makes the performance feel smooth, lively, and full of laughter. The staff members were equally wonderful--kind, welcoming, and accommodating from the moment we arrived. While many families bring their children to the show, I would encourage adults without kids to come as well. There were several moments when I completely forgot my age and felt like one of the children in the audience, staring in amazement and wondering, "How on earth did they do that?" If you've been looking for an excuse to reconnect with your sense of wonder, this show is a delightful way to experience it.

Booked a solo trip for a few days and this was my last night here and I wanted to go out and experience the nightlife to some good music and a nice bite and found this place for an R&B event and amidst the poor reviews I gave it a chance and yall it did not disappoint. From the entrance to exit was a smooth experience, I was so scared coming here but I'm glad I trusted myself to at least see for myself. I ordered the juicy rum punch (fire) and was good the rest of the night the calamari is so good! But the DJ?! I need his info because I'd love to connect. That guy can rocks. Also, my server JAY?!? So amazing. He took care of Eid me the entire night. As a black woman existing in the world alone and traveling alone, it was a breath of fresh air to just feel safe and still feel enough to express myself in a way that feels received and not rejected. Hands down the best comedy club in NYC. Forget the crowded tourist traps in the Village -- Fear City Comedy Club is on a completely different level. Tucked away in the Lower East Side, this place delivers a night of comedy that feels personal, raw, and unforgettable. The room is intimate, the laughs are real, and the crowd feels like family by the end of the night. Everything ran smooth -- no weird delays, no awkward transitions. Just comic after comic, crushing one set after another. It's clear this place is run by people who love stand-up and know how to create a vibe. It didn't just feel like a show. It felt like a home. This was a fun experience in a town known for its food and its theater. The venue is a small room off a bar area, dark and cozy, with a very small stage at the front of the room. A 3 piece jazz band plays music as you arrive and take your seat. The show begins as soon as you arrive, with characters welcoming you and introducing themselves and the premise of the show. The storyline is lively yet predictable. The chef and the waiter are the most comical and engaging characters in the show. The singing is entertaining and decent, but not write-home worthy. This is definitely not Broadway, but it's fun and entertaining. The food was okay; I had steak and it was not the best. The whole premise is centered around Truffles and you are supposed to get a sampling of truffles, however we did not see any at our table or those around us. Perhaps they were... stolen? All in all, I really enjoyed the show, loved the actors, and the band, but I am not sure it was up to the level I was expecting for NYC being as known for theater as it is. Definitely worth the money and the experience though!
