We had an exceptional experience with the Broadway Star Project. From the very first day, it was clear they have created a program grounded in care, safety, and professionalism, where my daughter felt comfortable taking risks and growing as a performer. The balance of high expectations with genuine encouragement helped her build confidence and feel truly seen. We are incredibly grateful to the BSP team for such a positive and inspiring experience!

Solid comedy club addition to lower Manhattan. It sounds like this location is the London based club's first foray into the US. We went on weeknight with a smaller crowd but here was good energy and good mix of comedians. One was visibly high/communicated they were high but even they weren't that bad. There isn't a minimum drink/food spend but the beer is very reasonably priced, like $6 for a bottle of Yuengling as of June 2026 I'd recommend you grab a beer if you're in the mood before the comedy starts. I also appreciated the fold bolted to the floor chairs so you don't get squished. Basically, you'd be silly to not check out this comedy club.

Amazing experience! We booked Live In Theater for an in-person birthday party in a private room at a bar in the East Village (Lucky Jack's, which made a GREAT combination). They were incredible. A delight to work with in planning the event (so responsive and professional!), and then -- what an evening! A highly talented, charismatic team of actors gave our group of ~20 people an immersive, interactive, spontaneous and yet brilliantly structured evening of fun. I couldn't recommend them more highly. Book them today!

Kid you not .. this is the place to be . I had the chance to take a class with David Epstein tonight, and it was honestly one of the most motivating classes I've been to. He brings a ton of energy, but what stood out most is that he genuinely pushes everyone to be better not just as actors, but in the way they approach the work and carry themselves. He's direct, passionate, and creates an environment where you're challenged to step outside your comfort zone. You can tell he cares about helping people grow and isn't interested in giving surface-level notes. If you're serious about improving your craft, I can't recommend taking a class with David enough.

I've been taking Salsa Level 1 classes at Vida Dance Company in the Bronx for just over a month now and so far I'm really enjoying the experience. The instructors are very thorough and always willing to answer your questions. They not only teach you the techniques but also explain the whys and how's. I've been to a couple of schools and I feel like I'm going to break new ground at Vida. I would highly recommend them!

Taking Terry's class made me fall in love with the craft of acting all over again! It reminded me just how fulfilling the work truly is. Terry takes the work very seriously, but the class is also incredibly fun. His masterful storytelling makes every session engaging and entertaining, thanks to the many anecdotes and stories he shares. You're in for a treat! It was such a blessing to have the opportunity to take his in-person class here in Vancouver. I can't wait for him to come back!

I took James Price's class in Rome in May, along with his assistant, Gabrio. It was my first acting class, and it was an incredible opportunity to work alongside professional actors. James's talent, experience, humor, and honesty gave me an immense push forward and inspired me to keep pursuing this amazing craft. It was a deeply personal experience, and the class brought light to places within me that had been closed off for a long time. James's class gave me hope and made me dream again for the first time in quite a while. I loved the rawness of his teaching combined with the wisdom and experience he brought to every session. I'm grateful that I found the courage to take this training with him.

Absolutely incredible night with Living Room Laughs!!! We were all SO impressed with the caliber of the comedians. All my friends agreed it was a really unique and fun party. I would recommend LRL for any event where people want a laugh-personal, work, or otherwise. Nice to have the comedy from excellent (clearly seasoned) comedians in my own living room... but with a really professional stage like setup. It's a memory I'll cherish for a long long time-thank you to Michelle and the comedians!

Howdy Stranger are so Hilarious! The Scripted Show this Past Friday was awesome!! There is never a moment where you're not laughing just when you think you get a moment you're laughing again. There's so many scripted scenes that were my favorite. Love the Dr. Seuss. Love the baby Can talk to you. I love did you lock the door? Washing machine talks and sings. What does that mean to anyone who's reading this now???? This is true what she's saying cause I've seen the show or you need to go to the next one ASAP. It means you need to go to see one of the many Howdy Stranger shows playing at the HacPac in Hackensack. Whether it's Improv or scripted you are going to leave there feeling so happy!! Big shout out to the song that Dreena sang as the garbage lo mein and how life is without him

I live in Morningside Heights and come here maybe once a week(1hr+ train ride away) Maybe it's the male loneliness epidemic making me want to be around strangers without the risk of truly being known maybe it's just that good a spot When every movie is at your fingertips with streaming services this place really has a human touch to everything from the concessions, to the paper mache with disturbing (hopefully) fake teeth, to the programming. It really brings the fact that people who care make and present these movies to the forefront of the experience in a way that's so refreshing. Also the bathroom has funny stuff on the wall, which is pretty cool

My daughter absolutely loved being in Elisabet Delgado's class. She looked forward to every lesson and always came home excited to show us what she had learned. Elisabet is kind, patient, and encouraging, and she creates such a fun and welcoming environment for the children. My daughter gained confidence, learned new dance skills, and truly enjoyed every moment in class. We are so grateful for the love, care, and dedication Elisabet shows to her students. My daughter started going here in September and I'm so happy we made the decision to enroll. The teachers and owner are amazing. They take a liking to the children and instill confidence in them so they can be their best self on stage and during class. The children love their classes and take pride in their work. My daughter thrives in this type of environment. She is doing what she loves and is surrounded by other girls who look just like her. The black girl magic is in AbunDance here. We love it and highly recommend it. Thanks Miss Karisma for giving our girls this safe space. It is a gem and much needed for our community.

After random social dancing for a year and a half, I wanted to learn salsa at an actual school. I was recommended to Eleanee when she was at Peak PAC. Since my first class, I was hooked. She was very welcoming, knowledgeable, thorough in her teaching and I really enjoyed her class. I've been with Afinke Dance Company for 5 years now and I do not regret it. I've grown so much as a dancer and have met so many people in the community. I'm super appreciative to have amazing instructors that encourage and challenge you to keep on growing, not only in salsa but in other aspects of dance, such as ballet, heels, rumba, cha cha, pachanga, body movement, and Afro Cuban, to name a few. This is what makes a well rounded dancer. Would definitely recommend to try a class or 2. You won't regret it !

Vicky's Performing Arts Center has been providing high quality dance and theatre education for over 50 years . Her contributions span over several generations of dancers as her students always come back to provide their children with the same rich cultural experience and the life long friendships that form.between the walls and mirrors of her studios. Many have moved on to professional careers in dance and theatre, while others have developed a life long appreciation for the arts and another lens from which to view their world. I know that this is true because I was one of her very first students. My education at Vicky's has been useful in my work as a teacher. As for my daughter, her experience led her to become a musical theatre performer! I highly recommend Vicky"s Performing Arts Center for both boys and girls who will have an amazing experience that combines friendship, a high quality arts education, a great self esteem and a wonderful way to keep active and healthy.

I have had the pleasure of experiencing several performances by Ballet Nepantla and it was truly enchanting. The way they blend contemporary dance, ballet, and Mexican dance traditions is nothing short of magical. My daughter has been going to Brooklyn Dance Conservatory for 4 years now and absolutely adores it. The entire team is super professional and friendly. Allegra is committed to making sure the dancers can stay in the program long term, and every year she puts on an extraordinary dance recital with the kids at a legitmate theater with beautiful costumes - my girls look forward to it all year. Can't recommend this program and the team highly enough!

We've been with Tutu School for almost a year and it has been an absolutely wonderful experience for our 2-year-old! We love it so much that we signed up for twice a week. A huge shoutout to Ms. Jamie and Ms. Jasmine -- both teachers are incredibly caring and so great at engaging with the little ones. You can tell they genuinely love what they do. The programs are also really well thought out -- from story time to recitals, every activity is fun, enriching, and age-appropriate. Highly recommend Tutu School to any parent looking for a nurturing and joyful environment for their toddler!

I can't say enough good things about Project Performing Arts! Ms. Nina took my daughters in and molded them beautifully. She truly enhanced the natural talent my oldest daughter already had, and I've never seen her so motivated about dance. The love and admiration she has for Ms. Nina is unmatched! My youngest daughter had a harder journey. She wanted to give up on dance and took a break, missing her very first on stage performance. But after watching from the audience, she felt the spark again. In September, she worked her way back into the program. Although she left some dance styles behind, I love that she rediscovered her passion especially for hip hop and West African. Thank you so much to Ms.Nina for your kind, encouraging words, and to Ms. Brit for continuing to push and support her. We also appreciate Ms. Brit, Ms. A, Mr. D, and Mr. Emilio each of them has poured so much love, guidance, and energy into our kids. This program is not just about dance; it's about building confidence, discipline, and passion. Everyone I come in contact with who has a little one, I tell them about this gem. Miss patty and her staff are amazing artists and teachers. I count myself extremely luck to have found this studio. We bounced around for a few years at other, bigger studios in Manhattan but no other place has taught my daughters more than BRB! EDIT: Going on six years here at Bay Ridge Ballet and both of my daughters still love it here and even with the pandemic Miss Patty put in place very stringent policies regarding COVID and was able to thrive. We feel so blessed to have found this school, it is a huge part of their lives.

Brian's show is So. Much. Fun!! My friends from Virginia were visiting and we were looking for cool things to do outdoors and his show came up on a free things to do in NY list so we went. We were absolutely delighted the whole time and after the show, he did an interactive yo-yo lesson! It was awesome, super family friendly, and really worth donating afterwards. I highly recommend you check this show out!

I cannot say enough amazing things about the Tate Academy, its teaching staff, and the amazing Tabitha Boulding. This school is more than "just dance." Tabitha is dedicated and caring and teaches her students the bigger picture... that being a good human is more important than any trophy. My child could not do one turn or jump when she started at Tate 1 year ago and she just completed her first season placing in the top 5 at Nationals! This would never happen if not for the dedication and patience of the teaching staff and Tabitha. Also this school is truly a family with amazing kids who respect, care for, and help each other. I am proud my daughter is a Tate dancer !

I came to see the Tribeca Comedy Club @ Room 52. I was so happy that I came. The spot is on the 3rd floor (there is an elevator). There is a bar and a spacious, well air-conditioned room where the comedy club is hosted. It was quite elegant, actually, and still managed to not be off-putting. I live in Bed Stuy, Brooklyn and I have an urban demeanor .. I was extremely comfortable. Now, the best part is that this is the best comedy club I've been to in Manhattan. I regularly attend shows around the city when I can and it was genuinely impressive. From the host, to the comic lineup, to the venue, to the vibes .. amazing!! I'm happy I attended and I will be looking out for more. Also, for those who drink alcohol, I believe the cocktails were quite inexpensive considering the beautiful area you are in. Thanks to everyone who works there, attended, hosted and gave us a good time.

Our child just completed her second semester with Brooklyn Acting Lab, participating in the Junior Musical program, and we could not be more impressed. Brooklyn Acting Lab does an exceptional job of nurturing young performers by creating an environment where students can grow, learn, build confidence, and develop their acting skills. Their semester-long program culminates in a full musical production. Throughout the process, students work with talented directors, acting coaches, vocal coaches, costume designers, and technical and lighting professionals, all leading up to a four-performance showcase! One of the things we appreciate most is the way students of different ages work together, gaining not only valuable theater experience but also important social and teamwork skills. The sense of community and support among the cast is wonderful to see. Having had children participate in other acting programs over the years, I can confidently say that Brooklyn Acting Lab is a top-tier program. Owner Kristen Lynch is hands-on, approachable, supportive, and deeply invested in every student's success. She has built an outstanding team that reflects her commitment to excellence, and it shows in every aspect of the program. I cannot recommend Brooklyn Acting Lab highly enough.

Had a great time at Paradigm Theatre last night. The 50s, 60s, 70s show featured aerial acts, fire performance, singing, and it was a lot of fun to watch. Just have to say this place what live theater is all about! They give artists of all ages a place to express themselves and share their talents. Mrs Lisa turned my 5 yr old into an enthusiastic music student and confident performer in only a few months. My daughter can now perform 7 full-length vocal pieces by memory and several piano pieces too. Not only is Mrs Lisa a skilled musician with genuine Broadway cred but also a great teacher helping her students build upon their strengths and also discover hidden talents they didn't know they had. It's hard to imagine finding a better teacher for my little one than Lisa.

My 8-year-old son has been taking chess classes here since last year, and we've been really happy with the experience. He's learned so much and really enjoys going every week. Before enrolling him, we did some research and found that the schedule worked perfectly with his school hours. We also looked into the instructor, Mr. Evan, and were impressed to learn that he's a chess grandmaster who's won many tournaments. That really sealed the deal for us.

FPA is a wonderful theatre organization, and I've learned a lot about the beauty of C.S. Lewis' work through their productions, their movie "The Most Reluctant Convert," and their team. Max MacLean has a keen mind for adapting Lewis' works for the stage, and I would recommend checking out their showtimes for anyone looking to watch some life changing stories portrayed by very talented people.

My daughter went to ICDT NYC when they first opened - she was 3/4 years old. She loved it then and she loves it now, as a 12 year old. She will choose to do ICDT over any activity and fears the day when she will be too old to attend. I have asked her many times why she loves it so much and she has told me that Jeff and his team (in addition to Melissa who she has interacted with in the summers) are all so incredibly kind, positive and fun - they make class such a warm, great learning experience. I can see this. They are very lovely people who work so hard to help the kids pull off these magical shows with a lot of heart. So grateful that they decided to start this and for all their nurturing.
