Had a great time at Paradigm Theatre last night. The 50s, 60s, 70s show featured aerial acts, fire performance, singing, and it was a lot of fun to watch. Just have to say this place what live theater is all about! They give artists of all ages a place to express themselves and share their talents. Thank you to everyone who made the show possible and for creating a space where the arts can thrive.

Candlelight Concerts

star 4.9

Manhattan · 72 reviews

I had the absolute pleasure of attending the 90's Hip-Hop Candlelight Concert, and it was nothing short of magical. From the moment the music began, I was transported straight back to the golden era of hip-hop. The atmosphere was intimate and mesmerizing, with the soft glow of candlelight perfectly complementing the soulful, nostalgic sound. Every song selection was spot-on bringing back memories, emotions, and that undeniable 90's vibe we all know and love. The musicians were incredibly talented, blending classical elements with iconic hip-hop tracks in a way that felt both fresh and deeply familiar. It wasn't just a concert it was an experience. A beautiful tribute to a legendary era of music that continues to shape culture today. If you're even remotely a fan of 90's hip-hop, this is something you have to experience. Truly unforgettable.

They hosted a birthday party for me and the staff was amazing! Both Jennifer and Mike are great at helping you set up your event and even scheduling sound check was great. Hands down would do it again with them and would strongly recommend them for events

Amazing venue and community space Just put on a comedy fundraiser here and it was a fab experience! The space is beautiful, but cozy; the staff is warm and talented; the GM and other managing staff was so helpful and accommodating! Literally cannot say enough positive stuff about Caveat--plus if patronizing thoughtful and politically-engaged businesses is important to you (it is to me!) know that this venue has community resources, KYR information and is a safe place for EVERYONE in NYC

The staff were kind, fun and efficient. Beer, wine, and few non-alcoholic choices that were yummy. I cannot believe I have never seen a show here! It's on....Thank you

Pier 17 is an absolute must-see spot in the city. The experience here is defined entirely by the breathtaking views of the East River and the iconic Brooklyn Bridge. Whether you're watching the ferries glide by or taking in the skyline, the panorama is simply unmatched. The atmosphere is vibrant--a perfect blend of urban energy and serene waterfront calm. It's the ideal spot for a leisurely afternoon, a romantic sunrise stroll, or simply taking in the sheer scale of the city. The views are spectacular, especially when the light hits the bridge just right. If you are looking for a unique perspective of NYC, Pier 17 delivers. It's a perfect blend of history, modern city life, and stunning natural beauty.

The acoustic is phenomenal! Pure delight. But, sadly, seating arrangements are a shame. Chairs are sooooo uncomfortable. There is no incline, so it is very hard to see the performers except a few first rows.

Checked out the space the other night for a Kinetic Light wheelchair dance performance and was very impressed with the organization of the event. Not sure if the team working the event were brought in by the event organizers but everyone was so helpful and accommodating. There was full accessibility (I'm a wheelchair user), an amazing sensory room on the second floor, and a reception area on the ground floor for a post show celebration. Would definitely come back for a future performance.

The Theater at MSG is such a beautiful space and always a pleasure to work in. The venue offers incredible flexibility for concert productions, with endless creative possibilities! Cara, Michelle, and the team are wonderful to work with. Every show looks and sounds amazing. It's easily one of our favorite venues. If you're visiting New York, catching a show at The Theater should absolutely be on your list!

Hadn't been to this den of dancing and liberation in YEARS but went back last weekend for what was supposed to be a The Blessed Madonna dj party. The Blessed Madonna had to cancel last minute but I was still down to check out the vibes and scene to see how much or little had changed since the last time I went to the club. Glad to say that not much that I can see has changed as far as HOY being the most inclusive, fun, free, lit up dance-floors in the city. There was a security guard that approached us as my friends and I were leaving and I guess she spotted me in my wheelchair and wanted to help show us to a different dance floor around the corner out back. Wherever that was reminded me of the magic of House of Yes because it was a totally different dj and vibe. All in all, the club is still alive.

Very nice and casual entertainment venue. The drinks are good, the staff was friendly and the location was not difficult to find public parking. I expect to visit many times in the future.

This is my fist time going to a venue at this location.Im a wheelchair user. I went with my friend to see a watch party soccer game. Started ok , we were placed on a small area on the second floor. As the venue started getting busier with were told to move but moving became chaotic. there was no room whatsoever to move . Security tried their best , again we were located on the 1st floor , but guess what no access to bathrooms. I just decided to leave the venue because I felt unsafe and the communications between the event coordinator and owners was not on point. Even if I had purchased table service there was no way I was getting anywhere. So left the venue and spent my money at Sala Astoria 2 blocks away. for able body people I guess is ok if u like to be crushed together, because my friend could not even get to the bar and she could walk. Never again will go to this place. Bad logistis for disabled folks or elderly.

Hammerstein Ballroom at Manhattan Center

star 4.2

Chelsea, Manhattan · 1,265 reviews

Hammerstein Ballroom is one of those classic NYC venues that really delivers when it comes to live events. Located inside the Manhattan Center, it has that historic, almost grand feel to it, while still being set up well for modern concerts and performances. The first thing that stands out is the interior. The space is huge, with high ceilings, ornate detailing, and multiple levels, including a balcony that gives a great view of the stage. It feels a lot more elevated compared to your typical concert venue, and depending on where you're standing or seated, you can get some really solid sightlines. We went for the Creepy Nuts concert here, and overall the experience was smooth. Entry was fairly organized, and once inside, the flow of the venue made it easy to move around, grab drinks, or find your spot. It can get pretty packed on the main floor, especially for popular shows, but that's kind of expected. The balcony areas felt a bit more relaxed if you're not trying to be right in the crowd. Sound quality was solid for a venue of this size, loud and immersive without feeling completely blown out. Lighting and production also added a lot to the overall atmosphere, especially with how open the space is. One thing to note is that drinks and concessions are definitely on the pricier side, which is pretty typical for NYC venues. Lines can also build up during peak moments, so it's worth planning around that. Overall, Hammerstein Ballroom is a great venue for concerts and live events. Between the historic feel, good sightlines, and strong atmosphere, it's a place that makes shows feel a bit more special than your average venue.
